A Night on the Town
The Outfit
For my Saturday night outing, I wore three of the summer staple items I discussed in my last blog. I reached for my off the shoulder top (one), which is also a bodysuit (two). I paired the top with statement fringe denim jeans from Zara (three) that I wear nonstop. You're going to get sick of looking at me in these jeans on Instagram. I wear them nonstop. But why not. If you find an article of clothing you love and that fits perfectly, wear it often. It's an amazing confidence booster when you feel good in the clothes you wear. Hell, wear it every week. Just find different ways of styling it, which typically isn't hard to do with the pieces of clothing you love. Overall, it's a simple look, but the bardot (off shoulder) bodysuit and the fringe jeans give this plain "jeans and top" outfit a lot of dimension. I completed the look with off white high heel rope style sandals that I purchased on clearance from Zara earlier this year. The entire look is chic, which is code for "looking great without looking like you tried too hard"......aka effortless style.
Accessories
What outfit is complete without accessories? I didn't want to overpower the top with a large statement necklace, which takes away from the top's sex appeal. Instead, I chose a simple cross necklace paired with my signature oversized hoops. You really don't need to wear this with a necklace at all, but if you opt to, make sure its minimal and understated. The hoops help bring attention to my bare shoulders, which I think are one of my best physical features. Pick something about your shape that you love and then choose pieces that accentuate that feature. I'm borderline obsessed with my Apple watch, so this is almost always layered with custom bracelet stacks from BSGO Jewelry. Now that my entire outfit was complete, I needed to select my handbag for the evening. When I go out in the evenings, I don't want to carry a big bag with a lot of fuss. If you're going to a nice restaurant for dinner, a big bag gets in the way of absolutely everything. And if you're going to a club or a lounge, you're going to have the same issue. It's kind of hard to twerk with a big bucket bag weighing you down. So I typically reach for my LV Pochette Felicie cross body bag. It's just big enough to carry an IPhone plus, a full size slim wallet, a compact, a lipstick, and your car keys. That's all you need for any night out.
