All of the Nopes

From time to time, I will curate a list of all of the things Staci is no longer doing. How often will I create this list you ask? As often as I feel like it. Officially, welcome to my world.
1) Denim that cost over $79
Most of my denim jeans used to be designer. I’ve had 7 For All Mankind, Paige, Joe’s, True Religion, Miss Sixty, BlankNYC, J Brand, etc. You name it, I had it. The only ones I still wear are a pair of Joe’s that I bought a few years ago and a pair of Current/Elliott Stiletto jeans that I bought from Nordstrom’s Rack for about $79 on clearance. I will admit that my C/E jeans are amazing. But those jeans retail for $200. All the nopes. The Gap has tons of jean options at great quality and my new fav, Fashion Nova, has an amazing selection of jeans and most retail for under $35. Check out these looks I put together below.
Fashion Nova Glistening Jeans, $35
Fashion Nova Ripped Shorts, $39
2) Expensive sunnies
Why won’t I spend money on sunglasses? The question is why should I? I just don’t care enough about labels to be concerned if I’m rocking a knock off or not. It is what it is. Check out this link and tell me why you would want to shell out anything more than $30 for a pair of shades: http://www.frugalfindsnyc.com/38-sunglasses-
Scored these from frugalfindsnyc
3) Heels over 4 inches high
I will not, I repeat will not buy another pair of shoes that is over 4 inches high. If the shoe is set on a 1 or 2 inch platform, then my tolerance will go up in inches accordingly. If not, I’m not buying a shoe higher than 4 inches. I have tons of shoes that fit this description and I barely wear them. I have 3 pairs of shoes I bought last year that I haven’t worn at all. Why do you ask? BECAUSE THEY ARE FREAKING HARD TO WALK IN. Here is the thing. The older I get, the more I realize that life is too short to suffer in uncomfortable shoes. No more! All of the nopes! Check out heel options below that are super cute and sexy. So you know it can be done.
Steve Madden Christey, $110
Steve Madden Slithur, On Sale for $90
Steve Madden Scarlett Marabou, $90
Daya by Zendaya Anderson, $80
4) Starbucks Coffee
Listen…….Listen…………………LISTEN…………….. Those coffees are expensive. ($4-6 dollars a day, depending on my level of crankiness.) And I’m in the leap year of saving my damn coins! I just can’t justify it when my employer provides free coffee all day long. No, it doesn’t taste the same. But I just remind myself that I have goals and they include investing, not overpriced coffee. Those lattes are good, but whatever. I’ll live. Nope. Nope. Nope.
5) Letting people or things make it in your life that don’t deserve to be there
Simply put, know your worth and then add tax. This can be a relationship, an obsession with food, or even a toxic working environment. If it’s not a two way street, let it go.
