Weekend Style
OOTD
As much as I love my day job, I still live for the weekends. But there is rarely a Saturday that goes by that I don't have a multitude of errands to run. In 2018, I'm on a mission to create a casual weekend wardrobe that allows me to be comfortable and pulled together at the same time. Lately, I've been reaching for the same weekend uniform, sweats and sneakers, because itβs actually been cold in Texas. There's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing sweats, but that doesn't mean that you can't make sweats look a tad bit more polished. The other day, I reached for my "Melaninaire" sweatshirt that I picked up from Inclusive Randomness. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I receive about this sweatshirt. I paired it with a pair of high waist Moto jeans from Topshop and a pair of classic old school style Vans leather high tops. But the trick is to tuck the shirt all the way into your jeans, which takes the look from sort of basic to kind of cool. This look would work with any high waist mom or boyfriend style jean. When I was done running errands, I met my sister for a late lunch. The temperature dropped considerably, so I just threw on a teddy coat I picked up in the latest Zara sale. I will link all available items below.
