Fall is Coming

Fall is Coming

I know it's hot as Satan's toenails in Houston, but fall is fastly approaching. It's time to start thinking about your transitional pieces. What are transitional pieces? Well I'm glad you asked! Transitional pieces are those pieces in your wardrobe that are cool enough for hotter months, but can easily be worn into the next season. For example, some people may think that off the shoulder tops are too summery to wear in the fall. However, a one shoulder top, like the one I'm wearing, could be a nice compromise. And for the record, I'm not one of those people that believes in seasonal roles.  I think off the shoulder anything can be worn any time of the year if styled appropriately. But if you're living on the east coast in a city that has all four seasons, sometimes the weather won't permit you the luxury. The shirt I'm wearing from Zara is a nice candidate to be transitioned because of the high neckline and long ruffled sleeve, which actually makes it look like a fall piece. Pair this with a pair of black or dark rinse denim jeans, and this is a killer September outfit or possibly a late date night outfit now. When it gets a little cooler, I can switch the black faux suede sandals with high heel booties and pair with a biker jacket for an edgy look or a blazer for dinner dates. The jeans are from Zara and are still available. The shirt is from Zara and was recently in the sale (although I bought this before the sale). You may be able to find the shirt on a clearance rack in store, but it is definitely not online anymore. The sandals are from Target and are also still available. As always, I will link everything below.
