Who’s Wearing Who What Wear?

#WWWWW

Why aren’t more people talking about Target’s Who What Wear brand? At first, I thought it was cool no one was really talking about it and just considered the brand my little secret. I’ve definitely talked about the brand on my blog a lot and will continue to do so. Duh. However, I have not seen many bloggers I follow mention this brand at all. I watch a lot of YouTube and the other day, I did a quick search for fashion hauls featuring the brand. There is very little content dedicated to Who What Wear hauls and I don’t understand it. They have been absolutely killing it this season and enough people just aren’t talking about it. I’m starting to get offended for them. Now I’m being a little over-dramatic because there are pieces that have legit sold out in about a week in most sizes, such as those coveted clear mule heeled sandals I’d had my eye on since they first previewed them late last year. I literally blinked and they were gone in both colors. However, their shoes are only carried in a few select stores, so you have to grab these online in most cases. But in general, it still begs the question, “Who’s Wearing Who What Wear?”. (#WWWWW)

Now this is not sponsored content. They don’t even know I exist. I just feel so strongly about their assortment and the price points. Not to mention, Target has been running sales on apparel almost weekly, more than likely to generate traffic from the long Easter shift. So I’ve been able to score most of these items with some level of discount. But sale or no sale, their items are all good price points and you need a ton of them in your life stat, especially if you’re on a budget. I’ve got so much good stuff to show you, I’m going to break this post into a two part series. Maybe even three. And don’t worry. Most of these items are sold in plus sizes as well. So lets go!

Trend: The White Blazer

The first outfit includes an off white blazer from Who What Wear. White everything is in this year, but a white blazer is a constant staple that every woman needs in her collection every spring because of the versatility of the piece. And if you’re darker hued, such as myself, any version of white really pops on brown skin. It’s a look. I prefer this off white version over a stark white because I’m just not that good at keeping stark white clean. I also love the tie option it gives you, which allows you to cinch the waist if desired, which is how I have it worn in this look. The material is a linen/rayon blend, so it’s perfect for spring when it’s not too warm outside. I paired it with a nude Auden bralette (another find from the new Target intimates brand) and a denim skirt from Zara. The faux snakeskin sandals are also from Zara. I’ve worn this look to work by replacing the bralette with a shell tank.  It’s a chic look and perfect if you work in a casual office environment. I finished the look with a pair of fun whimsical red pedal earrings from Target’s Sugarfix line by Baublebar. Sugarfix is a takedown line from Baublebar. However, don’t sleep on that line as well. The selection has gotten much better from even a year ago and some of the same pieces in this line can be found in the main Bauble Bar collection in Nordstroms for twice the price. You’re welcome.

Trend: The Unconventional Floral Dress

What can I say about this dress.  Here are the facts.  It doesn’t have great hanger appeal. The first store I saw this in did not tempt me to try it on. The location I was in has a ton of product and it was shoved in the middle of a lot of other styles. The second location I saw it in made me curious, but I wasn’t sold. They didn’t have an XS, my normal WWW size, so I tried on the Small in all black and it worked! I actually like the bigger size because it gave me a little more length, which makes it work appropriate. I’ve worn the black one multiple times and styled it different ways. I’ve paired it with a pair of flat boots. I’ve paired it with dad shoes. In the future, I’ll pair it with barely there sandals when it gets really warm outside. I loved the black one so much, I decided to order the floral print version. I was initially on the fence about this print, but this turned out to be one of my best decisions made so far in 2019. I couldn’t walk 8 feet without people complimenting me in this dress the first time I wore it. The dress is regularly $35, but it’s on sale now for $28. It may now be out of stock online, but this dress is still available in most stores, so you should be able to find it in either color. Here, I paired it with a pair of leather white booties and accessorized it with another WWW item, a basket bag, also new for the season. Run, don’t walk to the store because this is the type of dress that looks great on everyone and it’s finally starting to sell out in certain sizes online. The basket bag is not too shabby either. It’s completely on trend and I’ve been carrying it nonstop for weeks.

Trend: Polka Dots

I’m in love with the simplicity and the versatility of this WWW polka dot dress. It’s a maxi dress that frames the silhouette effortlessly while also giving shape to the shape deprived. They finished the design with slightly puffed sleeves which gives a simple dress a bit more interest. There’s also a slight flare at the bottom, which keeps it from looking dated. I paired it with my leather white booties to really play up the spring vibe that the print is giving. And if you don’t have a pair of white boots, what exactly are you doing with your life? This is a dress that can look very summery, so I played that up with the white shoes and threw on a leather jacket to make it spring appropriate. Shout out to the regions that actually have four seasons. I’m fairly certain this dress is going with me next week on my work trip to California and Portland. Rain is often in the forecast for Portland, so I’ll probably leave the white boots in Houston and tone it down with a pair of sneakers by one of the brands I’ll be visiting on the trip.

Trend: Two Piece Sets

So now we’re looking at a two piece option (I freaking love these) that allows you to break these items up and create multiple outfits. I’m looking like a whole bumble bee snack in this off the shoulder top and midi skirt combo. Most two piece options are massive fashion cheats because they make you look fully put together with the least effort possible. But do l look like I didn’t put any effort into this look?  You don’t have to answer that. I finished the look with a pair of barely there leather sandals I picked up from Madewell a couple of years ago. I’ll link a similar option, because I don’t think these are still available.
